  1. It started with a flat belly 1 and a half weeks ago and that week has started to go concave. He still eats but his swimming is slower. On one side it looks like he has razorback but could not get picture.
  2. sorry idk why the post is like that
  3. Oh yeah one of my neon looks a little different and u was wondering what it is sometimes if u angle it right the spine looks like razorback.
  4. @Colu i was wondering if there would be a point in me going back to 25% water changes every week to lower amounts of ntd? As on of my neon's was not from the infected batch but its been a few months now with no symptoms except from being slightly tilted down like 1-15%. I have recently been doing every 2 weeks 25%
  5. thx for the information! i will se what i casn do
  6. i dont dose anything like that so i should be fine but just to be safe ill be checking the pipes soon
  7. I was wondering if neons need a certain lvl of kh as iv seen mixed answers. I have a tap and tank kh of 2. AND i wanted to know if all neos have the same care reqs or do like cherrys and blue dreams care differ slightly?
  8. K thx It's only when u have copper pipes?
  9. And iv gotten the plants under control and i now know what i was asking for all my posts and my fish are eating (the ones with NTD) and I'm going to let them live the rest live there lives(until. euthanizing is necessary.) (maybe try with some shrimp, in like a month or two as they cant catch NTD and should hopefully act as replacement dither fish so they are not stressed at night)
  10. So iv been dosing thrive C full dose twice a week and water change 25% every TWO weeks. but i was wondering if i was going to get shrimp would they be fine for the foreseeable future?
  11. Thx everyone and tanked my plants have started to grow back and i have seen really good growth with the helenium or whatever
  12. This is probably on to call on topic but... If had a 10 gallon for a year now and if never been able to keep a fish for more than 3 months. I started with a betta and everything went fine for 2 months and then I got 6 neons in my tank and it was artificial plants and stuff. Then my betta started scratching himself on gravel in the summer and I redid the tank. I diddnt wash the new sand... 5 of the neons were dead in a week. Later when things go ally started to calm down... my betta started lying at the bottom and not going up except for dinner. I went to my life and they tested my water... my test kit was SUPER ineffective. My ph was 8plus. My betta dies after 2 months of water changes to try and get it down slowly. Most of my neons(5) died as well I decided I was going to switch to to live plants... With one neon left I took out all the decor and got live plants and more neons My half my plants died within a month they had no nitrates to eat and they starved. The neons came sick... with neon tetra disease(it looks like it) I have another post on it. They are stressed from not enough cover and only four of them. 1 has a slightly crooked spine and a tumer like growth on his mouth. One has a small white spot on his back fun and the other has a very faint growth on it's mouth and patches were his muscles are whiter. I fell so powerless and like I can't keep an animal alive at all. Do you think maybe try a new tank using walsted and hoping it works cause it would boost my confidence. Idk feel empty without my betta.
  13. @Colu it looks the same but a am worried about them dying from only being a school of four and the one that if had since before along with the others chill at a slight downwards angle. If read that facing downward is bad but it's like 5 to 30% and it changes.
  14. ok thx im just going to wait a for longer to see! also do shili rasboras get neon tetra disease or snout chondroma?
  15. Yo @Colu one of my neon has like a super small lip thing on it's jaw. Couldn't catch any photos but don't know if it was always there AND I can only see it a lil bit. Also the other one looks like he keeps getting stuck with his mouth open, I can see the red
  16. UPDATE: ill probably wait for like 1 more weeks cause then it'll have been 2 months.
  17. If it's neon tetra disease what should I do about thisnone neon I have that didn't come with the sick one or thstnones group hand therefore shouldntnhave the disease.
  18. @ColuI just read that neon tera disease one of the symtons is "reslessness", especially at night. Could this be the same thing as described up?
  19. I'm unsure cause one one hand I don't want it to spread and on another I don't really mind those bumps if that's all that happens if they get infected. But I don't want to just buy some treatment and not even sure if it will stress him out or heal the fish. ALSO, the 4 in my tank get really scared at night and 1 has jumped onto the glass(he went unresponsive and I had to manually remove him, he never tried to free himself.) I believe he is stressed about smaller school? But what if those fish get sick? I'm kinda stuck
  20. dam... but hes been like this for like a month and a half and hasnt spread anything
  21. yes but like if he is fine then i dont medicate him when will i ever get to get those 2 more neons to complete the school?
  22. but im just monitoring right now. and it doesn't seem contagious.
  23. well would a 5 gallon bucket be suitable for treatment? if i need too? @colu do you think its safe to add 2 more neons? i will get from my fav store(these were from another cause my fav didn't have any on them) and they get stressed at night, even with a hiding log. for more.
  24. will this be harmful to live plants?? or beneficial bacteria??
