  1. I will i want a full jungle on the back with h'ra and some Ludwigias i already have lots of shrimps , i think my tank is already cycled i used a filter that was in the tank before i reescaped it and i've been testing and there is no nitrites , just a bit of nitrate but nothing to worry about and i still gonna wait because i want all the plants to get established before i put my ancistrus in Yes it was working as a waterfall because i had some biofilm growing but i can level it
  2. So 40 cm is a bit height for bettas do you think a plakat would do good on this tank? My ph is about 6.4
  3. 😂😂😂 But whats the size of your aquarium?
  4. Hi guys i've been searching about bettas and i see a lot of different information about bettas i saw some people saying that they have bettas in waters with high ph like 8.2 and some that say that they are from acidic waters, so my question is i have a 40cm cube thats 64 liters and i wanna now if it is to big for a betta, which ph should i have in my aquarium and temperature, now my ph is a bit acid and the temperature is abou 25 i think , i already have some cherry shrimp and i do have an ancistrus too , i know that depending on the betta he might eat the shrimps. If i can keep a betta in this tank which should i choose delta, halfmoon, plakat im asking this aswell because i read that bettas with longer tails strugle in big tanks. (The tank is not finished yet i will add some rotala h'ra and montecarlo)
  5. Which grow light do you use, i think im will build my own ligh with led strips
  6. Did you noticed any difference between the diy wrgb and the flood light at 6500k?
  7. Do you think if i put those numbers to % and then build my own light with that pecentage it would look the same?
  8. My horwort is already thriving with my light but my Ludwigias rubin are not happy at all. I've searched for that light in europe but didnt find it, specially in my country but will look for it. I can be about to say something very stupid but chihihiros with the 3 in 1 led tecnhology, the leds are rgb and when they put all the colors together, it becomes white so wouldnt be the same as having all white with certain kelvins?
  9. I thought about doing a light with the led strips i did thought aswell using a flood light with 6500k 3100lm 30w but it's not dimmeable. I saw the video that you recommended and it does make sense, but i didnt see any of this floodlights with their wavelength or even led strips with the wavelength. So makes it a bit hard... The floodlight wouldnt be that horizon to horizon light but a couple inches above the aquarium i don't if it would be fine, something like md fish tanks do.According to that graphic would you think that like 70% of cool white (6500k) plus 30% of warm or neutral light would be enough for the plants and would it look good? But those grow lights arent the ones lightning the aquarium are they?
  10. Hey guys , i wanna do my own light and i was thinking about building it with smd5730 LED's with 6500k, should i use some red and blue LED's aswell or i will be good with only white ones , each LED produces about 35lm-55lm. My aquarium is a 40cm cube.
  11. Hmm,that is probably the best option then i will mount it first then see what is going and where is going
  12. Do you think i have enough plants to do something similar to that red one ? Or i should get more?
  13. Hey guys, i will rebuild this aquarium, and i will be using tropica aquasoil, my temporary light is cheap one from AliExpress, but i will get the Hygger 999 or the twinstar B line don't know which is better for a planted tank. I have some Ludwigias rubin i think , hornwort , anubias and some java moss. I would like to do something similar to the image, some plants coming out between the two trunks but something dense( i've been thinking in some rotala, limnophila cryptocorine, monte Carlo for carpeting)I don't know if the ones that i already have are enough aswell 🙂. Any sugestions for more low tech plants that would look good? Thanks guys!
  14. For sure if i don't wanna spend one Hundred euros on a light , the aquasky is already not an option. So the Hygger for what i want is better. You cant compare a car the cost ten thousand euros with a Ferrari.
  15. Aquasky in here is about 100€ so probably the hygger is better
  16. If i had the money to spend on a fluval i probably would but i think between the the twinstar B series that was the one i was wondering to get,im probably going for the Hygger 999 just because 957 is not that easy to find in my zone
  17. Do you think it can grow some Montecarlo and Ludwigias?
  18. Where did you find that the 999,had less leds and lumens? Cause on Amazon i check both 26w and the leds and lumens were the same i think. But that was helpfull probably will get the 999 That one is the 999 or 957? Your tank is looking nice btw!!
  19. Hey guys anyone , have tried this two lights? Which one is better for a planted tank , both look good. Are they reliable?
  20. Me too ,i mean slow growing is low maintenance. So it sounds great to me,i just don't wanna put it there and then it starts to melt
  21. Do you think Montecarlo could grow with a twinstar 30b and the tropica aquasoil but no Co2?
  22. Yes the foxtail is the hornwort. And which one do you guys think would be easier to plant? I saw some reviews of the bio stratum of Fluval saying that is hard to plant, and tha plants will float. I will check it out i read that Montecarlo would grow better in the powder but the powder looks a lot more fine and easy to break Thanks!! I just don't have do money do get both of them and in my zone fluorite and other inert substrates are basically the same price as the tropica thats why im goibg for an active soil
  23. Which one of tropica soil or tropica powder is best for montecarlo, Ludwigias repens, foxtail, Egerias and probably gonna add some more but still don't know yet
