[My drift wood is looking weird]

My drift wood I put it my tank is looking sort of weird. It looks like there is white foamy stuff around it but it’s very clear. Anyone know what’s going on or what I should do

Hi! I am new to fish keeping and new some advice, my tank has been set up for 3 days now, I am getting live plants today, and I am using a canister filter, my tank is a 75 gallon and I am having so trouble figuring out when to put fish in, some websites say 4-6 and others say 1-2. Just curious on what ya’all would do. Thanks!

So then should I try and do smaller fish?

I really like ember tetras, cherry barbs, neon tetras, honey gourami, Kuhli Loaches and angelicas loaches. Would these work, @anewbie it has wholes in the back, cannot remember if the bottom does or not, if I were to get Kuhli loaches should I keep a close eye on them

OK, thank you! Could most fish cut themselves on decor like this? I am disappointed on no discus  but they will be worth the wait, although I am sad I am also sort of happy, lol, if i had ended up with discus a fish I really like, I would have had to probably leave two of my favorite fishes behind, honey guramis and kuhli loaches! Thank you for ya'alls advice!

• Have you kept fish before?  Suggesting anyone who hasn't had fish before to even consider discus is probably setting up for failure or at least a lot of heartache.

I have been really paying attention to the people on here, I have a list of things people have said, I have watched the Aquarium co op videos and read their articles, that is where I am getting my info, from what I have piled up I can keep discus and now I am trying to figure out my tank decor, I was not  trying to come of as rude or snarky or that I wasn’t paying attention , I apologize if I did, I am very tired this morning.

I will say the fish I “keep” are fish I hope to GET

I can and will change it up, because I really enjoy discus and according to research I have been doing I can keep them. I just need to know if the  tank decor is crowded.

Would a tank with 2 decorations with lots of wholes and hiding spaces along with live plants be crowded for discuses

Looking at the video from up above he seems to have an open tank, I have two tank decorations, with hiding places, I plan to put in some live plants as well, would this be too crowded for discus?

Hi! I would love to get these 6 fish, could I add discus to the mix, if so how many, if fish conflict with it which ones, I have a 75 gallon

angel fish is possibilitie not completely sure yet

Definitely have fallen most for the honey gouramis and the Kuhli loaches, I will be sad to give up the leopard danios but maybe I will start a smaller tank with them in it. What type of fish could I put in with honey gouramis, Kuhli loaches and Bolivian rams

Are rosy barbs fin nippers? 
how many pounds of gravel per gallon of water 

 

and another question slash comment I am going to list the fish I am planning on getting, I think from the research I have done they should go well together but if not I would love to hear what to change, also if any other cool fish to add to the mix would be great as well.

10 leopard danios 

3 honey guarmi 

1 Bolivian ram

7 Kuhli loaches 

1 hill stream loach

when I get my tank it will have been cycling for 3 weeks before I add fish 

varieties of dainos, some tetras a center piece fish which I haven’t figured out yet, if any in mind I am open to suggestions on the center piece fish and Kuhli loaches and mystery snails

i will be putting in 3 live plants

How should I introduce fish to the tank, should I get a breed of fish add them to the tank wait a week and go back and get another breed, or should I introduce all my fish to the tank at one? What is your recommended process? 
 
   Do I have to worry about Kuhli loaches eating any other fish in the tank 

oh and do you have any recommendations on a big show stopping fish to put in a community tank

[Kuhli Loach feeding question]

Hi! I am new to tank keeping and will be getting a tank in April, I have chosen Kuhli Loaches as my bottom feeders along with mystery snails, do my Kuhli Loaches need more food than the scraps of what’s left over from the other fish if so what do you recommend?
