In the bubble counter yes but nothing out of the diffuser membrane. I didn’t Initially soak for 2 hours but I have no and nothing.

Hey guys got a question. Just got a co2art setup and diffuser. Looks like I got the tank open and such but does it take a while for actual bubbles to start showing up out of the membrane because I am seeing nothing at the moment.

Thank you all for your answers

Does anyone find these makes you nitrates/ammonia/nitrites levels increase when setting up an aquarium and planning roottabs across your substrate?

I did notice a failure with this heater this weekend. Now this is more my fault but maybe something to keep in mind with future builds. A ton of rams horns got in between the guard and nested within the heater which caused the heater to either stop working entirely or correctly tried to heat up my tank to 81 and noticed tank was only at 77. Like I said my fault but getting a ton of critters between your guard does cause problems. I have multiple of these heaters so I popped a new one in and is working fine.

A lot to consider. Seems like a male by him self or a pair is the way to go probably. Any suggestions on dithers with these guys?

Interesting I figured if I had a different type of apisto species it would instantly cause some issues. Any recs for dithers, I know or have seen/heard people usually run these fish a little hotter. I have some experience with some rasboras and guppies but I have seen many recommendations towards some dwarf neon rainbows which I was considering. A killer male in a 125 that's a nightmare scenario but something I need to be prepared for. Maybe I will consider adding in a cacatuoides group, females seem to be easier to find for them at least.
I got to look into these coral pencil fish as well.

Yes good point I have heard about some female on female aggression as well as female on male aggression. For this tank it would just purely be agassizii within it I wouldnt be mixing in other groups of apistos with them. But this has given me some thought.

Yes I understand that. I’m aware of what water reqs they need, when I said play it safe and get a few of them I meant a male and few females. Thanks for the help.

Probably will play it on the safe side and only do a few then. At least I got my honey gouramis.

Also have the heater can’t imagine how a clown loach got in there, I will say I had a rams horn explosion in my 55 gal and a large number of snails have ended up inside the heater. There has been a few occasions when I brought the water lower then the heater and didn’t turn the heater off (my fault) a horrid smell followed. That would be my one issue. But I’ve bought some new ones for my future tank.
Amazed that clowns got in there.

Just curious for my apisto fish keepers, getting a 75 gal and I will be focusing on apisto keeping as the main fish group. Not to ask the stupid how many fish can I get away with stocking level wise I’m just curious if I plant and cave my tank up can I have a decent group of them in there.

I feel you with that rock water..... Wonderful for guppies though

Hey everyone first post.
Currently I have a 55 gallon community tank filled with corys and honey gouramis. I basically have liquid rock, I mean off the chart minerals in my tap. Recently I’ve tried cutting with some RO water for a bit of testing for some rams and apistos I will be getting in the future, and so far no real change in softness.
I guess my question would be I am moving soon setting up a new 75 gal planted tank that will be apisto heavy. Should I stay cutting my hard tap with RO or when setting up the new tank, line my substrate with enough crush coral and just do full RO water.
Like I said so far I’ve only cut like 25 gallons of RO, slowly with small water changes with no real change in how hard my mineral content is.
C02 Diffuser question?
