for your initial question I have not seen any differences from super red pleco compared to other bristlenose. They tend to be tanks. You may want to add some crush coral to help with that low TDS. If I recall correctly, low TDS can cause swings in PH which will have an effect on fish. Do you have any wood in their grow out tanks? I see it as a way to have a constant food source to help between dressings without fouling up the water with food there all the time.

I have had my Clown Pleco for 2 years. I have not seen any changes to the wood. At the same time, every time I assume he is dead because I haven’t seen him in a month or 2 he makes a brief appearance. Maybe one day I will pull the wood out and the whole backside has been carved away and a whole illegal fish fighting club could be going on.

My LFS has a Fish I really have been trying to hunt down. It’s a male L134, and by hunt down, just would like one I know is a male without paying too crazy money. The thing is when I ask, they said it is just not for sale. I have 2 females and I offered to trade them for the male and still got a no. Anyone have suggestions, or was successful at getting a display tank fish?

Honestly, I would make sure if you are doing and rocks, place the flat on the bottom. The sand will change everyday as they customize their own areas. The other day I was watching two males throwing sand into each other’s spot as they were digging. Sometimes I worry when they are digging around they are going to close off some shell opening and suffocate fry.

I have a group of Multis and they are awesome. They “multiply” like crazy without me even doing anything. I did notice when I switched from a flake food to sinking food, the number of small fry around has gone down. I think I have to tweak the autofeeder and go back to a flake. Are you going to add any other hard scape?

If it’s too good to be true it probably is. The guy I am currently talking to sounded legit and it was going to be $210 for overnight and 3 L134 that were adult size. So the price was a little too good to be true. Then he said he doesn’t know how to use PayPal and only takes Zelle. Then I questioned him how he knows which are male and which are female. When he couldn’t answer and tried blowing it off, that’s when I knew he was a scam.

I will have to see what I can find.

I would love to find a local fish club, but I have yet to find one. I am in Vegas, so if anyone knows about one here let me know.

So I have been using Facebook Groups to try and find L134 near me or reasonably priced ones for shipping. I have been hit with so many scammers who “only” know how to use Zelle. Or people who respond once then nothing else. Have you guys run into the same thing?
