Quarantining Tetras

I have never kept tetras.  I have mostly kept bettas and guppies.  IF I get a new betta, I watch to see if they have pop-eye or torn fins, and, in females, I am always afraid that they could become egg-bound.  Guppies have to watched carefully for ich, fungi, cottonmouth, and a multitude of parasites.  So...what am I watching for when I quarantine a new school of neon tetras?

Mostly the same as guppies. I’d add epistylis. Which kind of looks like ich. And possibly columnaris. But the guppies can get those also. Treat them like you treat new guppies and just keep your eyes on them. Otherwise you should be good. Unless wild caught. Then you might treat them for parasites as you never know
