Tom Perry
I have a spare 55 gallon and I’m thinking of setting up for just two blue Akara babies and grow them out maybe more like four and then rehome two of them or whichever ones decide to breathe my eventual plan. Have any suggestions on what I’m thinking it is that enough room for two? I looking to breed them down the road I have breed other cichlids thanks for any advice 1

The most important reason is that a greater chance of getting a male and female. Also greater chance for 2 to pair off. A 55gal is fine for a pair. @Tom Perry
DansFish
IME, a 55 gallon is more than adequate for a pair. Nice choice of fish...stunning and mostly peaceful.
