JohnnyD
So, I am moving from my house, which has a concrete foundation, to a manufactured home. My question is, do you all think my new home will support my 55 and 75-gallon tanks? My new home was built in 1980.
MrWestCoast
Should be fine against load bearing wall. Make sure you place the tanks across the beams in the floors.
ShyWildPetExpert
you should be fine, but consider placing the tanks along walls or perpendicular to the floor joists for better support. Figure youre at about 600 lbs for your 55 gallon and at about 900 for your 75 gallon.

JohnnyD
Thanks all for the great info, I did pull an access panel off and it looks like 2*8 beams running and the tanks would be perpendicular to them along the wall. Cannot wait to get them moved just a little nervous about transporting them
Kit Craft
I grew up in a double wide and we had a 60 inch 120 in the dining room, a 30 in the living room and a 90 in my bedroom. Mine was setup from 1999-2005 and my uncle put it up in his house, also manufactured, where it sits today. Anecdotal, but that is my experience. Fwiw our home was manufactured in the 80s and my uncles in the 90s. No idea how smart it was but there were never any problems.
JohnnyD
I was just concerned that it would warp or go through the floor, but hearing from y'all and planning on them being perpendicular to the floor joists I feel okay with it.
