Supermassive
I put a black background behind my tank but I think my Betta can see himself in the reflection. Is there any way I can reduce the reflection without changing my lighting? Would an actual aquarium background be less reflective than black paper or not really? TheSwissAquarist
Instead of changing the lighting, try moving it around a bit to see if it gets better. Matt black spray paint also works.
Kit Craft
I have always used black poster board or card stock without reflection. Does the paper have a more matte side that you can switch too? I know mine comes with a gloss side and a matte side.

Kit Craft
@Supermassive I am not sure, it could be, I am by no means an expert. But my house has poor lighting so maybe that is a factor, lol.

I moved it as far forward as I can. seems to have helped a bit. Thank you.
