Store question. Maximum quantity in stock reached?

I wanted to grab some java ferns but the store says "Maximum quantity in stock reached." It will only let me add one to the cart, but that message makes it sound like they have a lot in stock. What am I missing? Or is my cart not working?

@JU5T it means the store is limiting the amount you can buy in one order.

there are many reasons they could do this.
