Smiling Paul
I'm sure someone has done this or tried it or looked into and not done it for X Y Z reason? It makes sense to have each tank or rack shelf on heavy duty drawers so when you need to catch fish or maintain you can Just slide the tank/shelf out. This would mean you can put more shelves per wall/rack. The issues I can see is airlines/wires getting pulled and the plumbing system if all linked or auto top up etc I know these drawer runners are expensive and when buying a few of them it would add up but surely regardless of these issues someone has done this at some point or am I just being stupid lol
Flumpweesel
I would worry about toppling the rack when drawn out it would need serious fixing to a solid brick or stone wall and shelf strength when drawn out away from the supports, I'm not sure what kind of weight rating you can get for those runners If I wanted to do something like that I would make nesting stands on castors. Still there are some experienced joiners and engineers on here that I'm sure have thoughts on the subject.
