GregJ23
I am wanting to try breeding royal farlowella, but am limited to a 20 gallon tall tank for breeding purposes. I know this fish can get pretty long so would a tank this size be suitable for a small breeding group? If so, any advice on how to setup the tank to be the most successful? Thanks! TheSwissAquarist
Strong flow usually helps, as they lay their eggs around the filter area, maybe a couple of pleco caves here and there, and make sure pH and nitrate/trite is at tolerable levels. Welcome to the forum btw!

No not really, a friend did it in a 20 gal and bred half a ton of them!

T. Payne
I've not known a royal farlowella to use a pleco cave. Some breed in open ended tubes or on the glass.

T. Payne
Yes, where the output is blowing directly at the glass is a common spot.
