I give it monthly Easy Green Root Tabs and weekly dose of Easy Green liquid fertilizer. I apologize for the orientation of the photo, I am not real techy. Vals has been known to melt when first introduced to the tank so I wouldn't worry too much about it. It will take a couple weeks for the vals to settle and shoot out new runners.
