Erik
Yesterday I added some plants in pots with a root tab in the rock wool to an established tank, but today I tested the water and found 1ppm of nitrite could this be because I added too many plants with root tabs all at once? I have done a 25% water change. what are some other things I could do. I added 10 plants with root tabs to a 20gal long.
TheSwissAquarist
Normally the nitrite level will go down as the plants start using the root tabs.
Erik
So do you think it would be best just to watch and see if it will go down? or should I continue with the 25% water changes daily.
TheSwissAquarist
Do a 25% water change in two days time if it doesn’t go down, otherwise the balance of the aquarium maybe even more upset.
