GBrymer
I’m running a low tech 20 gallon tank with a few crypts, water sprite, a dwarf lily and money wort. Currently, I am only using root tabs and getting descent results. However, I’m wondering if I should be using a CO2 booster like Flourish Excel? Thoughts?
Scapexghost
Co2s are mostly glorified algaecides, they don't directly effect plant growth at least not noticably 1

Kurt Brutting
I do not use CO2 boosters and all my aquariums are low tech. I never used them, but it doesn’t mean they don’t work. It’s all about finding that balance and plants that like your water.
