StockEwe49
Hi all, I just have a quick question about frozen blood worms. How long do you thaw a cube out? If at all. I have seen some just put it in the tank and others thaw for 12-10 hours! If it matters I want to feed it to cherry shrimp, a betta, and guppies as well as a yoyo loach. Just curious on everyone's approaches!
Gator
@StockEwe49; I usually just drop them into the tank still frozen. My Yoyo's will attack them as they float and everything else eats them as the worms are broken off and settle to the bottom, all of my fish get plenty to eat.
FishPlanet
I put a cube in a cup of water and it usually takes a couple minutes to thaw. I stir every 30 seconds or so, too.
Flowerhorn_K
I sometimes will throw the whole cube in the tank. Or usually get a small container add some tank water and let the bloodworms melt and then drain off the ''dirty bloodworm water juice'' so only the bloodworms go into the tank.
BigSkrimp
I usually just grab a block and rub it between my fingers in the water until it's the size of a pea and let the fish have their way with it. You can also cut the packaging into individual cubes, when you like, take one out the freezer, remove the foil and let it sit for 10 minutes. By this point it should have defrosted almost completely, I use a brine shrimp egg scoop and scoop it out the little cube.
