Kurt Brutting
Hello everyone, this is my first post on the forum. I have a 40 gallon planted aquarium with 2 bristle nose plecos and 7 Bruno’s Aires tetras and I want to get dwarf chain loaches as the main species for the tank. My question is how many can fit in there comfortably? I would like to get 10 to 12, but is that to much? Any advise is appreciated.
KaitieG
Welcome to the Forum! It seems to me like adding 10-12 dwarf chain loaches would be fine in that size tank. They're not particularly large fish, though they are super active. They like larger groups, so it makes sense to get the number you're thinking of. Mine enjoy hanging out together and swimming in packs.
