  1. ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ˜ƒ No way?! That looks spot on! @Tanked Thank you! I owe you a drink! Your choice! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Iโ€™m so excited! Iโ€™ll for sure let it grow to see what happens. To think I was scraping it off! That may have helped it propagate. Now Iโ€™m going to be all worried about killing it. ๐Ÿ˜ Just wait until it takes over the tank and I come to the forums asking how to get rid of it! ๐Ÿ˜†
  2. More pictures! ๐Ÿ˜Š First shows one that looks like it is starting to branch. Second shows some new ones growing together.
  3. Wow! I'm super intrigued! I was scraping this stuff off at first! I'll try to get some better pictures and post them. Answering some previous questions ... How long has the hardscape been in the water? - driftwood has been in there a long time (got it in 2014) and other items have been in there a long time as well Did you treat/scrub/disinfect the driftwood? - I rinsed and soaked it only, but that was a long time ago Purchase wood/remove from local waterway? - no, it was an online order Feed live foods? - no Seeing windows out the other side of tank? - sorry, no ๐Ÿ˜Š just reflection of windows behind me What does it feel like? - soft, squishy, slippery? I should take some out and let it dry Grows/continues to get bigger? - it appears to get longer at least, maybe not thicker/bigger Break some off, will it reattach to a different surface? - don't know, good idea for an experiment! It appears to just start growing in different locations. Test water basics? - they are good, I can post numbers, you can see white crushed coral because I needed to get the pH up to make the snails happier ๐Ÿ˜Š and to counteract the driftwood Thank you for the complements on the plecos! The black pleco is healthy ... or at least he creates enough poop to make me think he is! ๐Ÿ˜Š
  4. The tendrils are free floating. They donโ€™t move on their own. There is some on the drift wood in the pic and some on the right rock thing. Donโ€™t mind all the debris floating around! ๐Ÿ˜
  5. Iโ€™ve had the driftwood in this tank since 2014. These tendril things started showing up a couple of weeks ago? I havenโ€™t introduced anything significant that I can think of when they started showing up. I was scraping them off at first but have left them for now to see what would happen. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ At least the tendrils donโ€™t lash out and eat fish โ€ฆ that would be creepy โ€ฆ and kind of cool on a whole different level. ๐Ÿ˜†
  6. Pop quiz! What are these brown tendrils? Not really a quiz because I donโ€™t know the answer. ๐Ÿ˜Š Iโ€™m having trouble finding information. My searches keep turning up brown algae but the pictures I see donโ€™t really match. What do you think? ๐Ÿค” Thank you!
