  1. Does anyone know how i can remove excess copper from my tap? Have been testing in aquariums and is higher then should be. I realized i had repipped two years ago and of course it was copper. i believe that is where the excess is coming from. Most of my fish have been still doing ok except my rummynose rasbora's which stay dark instead of the beautiful blue they used to be. i'm thinking it may be the copper? I have planted tanks and found online that carbon will remove from tanks which i havn't used for years.. i want to remove it from tab before it gets to tanks. I'm looking for a condioner that will remove, looking but havn't found a liquid. I see that seachem has a product, but i already use purigen and don't have room in filters for additonal additive. as i mentioned would like to remove from tap before it gets into tanks. i fill 5 gal buckets in bathtub and adjust temp and add my water conditoners then before changing water in tank. Am going to look into reverse osmosis but for the moment need a quicker resolution. thank you Thanks Debbiedj
  2. Hello, my Crinum Calamistratum which i've had for several years has been needing attention. have it in a temp 40 gal aqauriam after 75 leaked and had to be torn down. Havn't been able to replce yet. Had planted it in a 4 inch container with eco complete for a few months so i could move it. I went to feed it root tabs lastnight and found the plant separtated from the roots with the roots rotted. Yes, i should have looked closer a long time ago, but now all i want to do is save the plant. The outer leaves still look dark green and great while the new are yellow which is why i went to plant root tabs. The bottom of bulb is a brownish red. What should i do, there is no root system to hold it down. Would using an orchid pot so the medium could get circulation be useful ? (which is why I believe the other container which was solid couldn't breath). Will it grow roots back floating in the water, or should i use weights to hold it down in new substraight. Sorry i don't know yet how to get a picture here from my phone yet. Any suggestions, i love this plant and want to save it. Also what substrate would be best? Thank you Debbiedj
