I actually just looked into Assassin snails and because I'm in Australia they are actually illegal because they are viewed as an invasive species. There was someone selling some but for $100 per snail because they were smuggled in illegally and I'm not really down with owning something that could potentially harm native species if it managed to get out.

I will go to my LFS and see what advice they have on loaches, I haven't actually ever seen assassin snails for sale over here in Australia but then again I have never looked for them.

Do we have many people here from Australia? I'm in Victoria it would be interesting to see if there are many others around here.

Thanks Lefty appreciate the reply. How do clown loaches go with other fish? Someone else has said yoyo loaches which are more peaceful? Thank you so much for the help.

Im after a fish that will eat the snails in my tank as the population is booming at the moment with no end in sight. I have a 6ft aquarium that isn't overly populated and is a very peaceful, calm tank I'm just wondering which fish would go well in a community tank that would keep my pest snail population at bay? Thanks for any info 😀\ 🐌

Thanks for the reply I actually got a message back off another forum and was told it was snail eggs...I was pretty excited up until that point.

Just discovered these eggs in my tank the only egg layers I have are Neon Tetras, Pearl Gouramis and a lonesome bristlenose. Any info would be very helpful. Thank you.

@Colu Hi I think I have just spotted a small bubble nest on the bottom of an Anubias leaf can you tell me if it is or not? The only other fish I have that lays eggs is a bristle nose and neon tetras but i'm pretty confident it's not them. Thanks. (sorry for the low quality photos my tank is a double sided tank and its really hard to get a good photo.)

Does anyone have any helpful tips on breeding gouramis? How do I know if they are ready to breed? I've got a beautiful pair of pearls and they have recently gone a nice deep reddish colour on the bottom I don't know too much about breeding fish so any help would be amazing. Thanks 😀
