Ok this is 100% the API's Aqua Essential. I did not even do a water changed, but only top up of another tank I put not more than the first line of bottle cup and added about 20% water to the tank . The three shrimp in that tank instantly died.
it could be that I bought a bad bottle but the date on it is fine.
will not use again

The shrimp live in an over a year-old established tank. They have been happy the whole time, even multiple times I saw females with eggs.
Then today they all died at the same time, the fish and snails are happy and active
Water parameters:
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0
GH 75
KH 40
PH 7.2
Chlorine 0
Temp 76
in the last water change I used for the first time API's Aqua Essential for de chlorinate the water but that must be safe for shrimp no?
I just have no idea what has happened
Any ideas? Other things I should check?

The second video looks like green cabomba , one of my favorite plants . And it's pearling like this lake is full of CO2

I went with Seyriu stones because they are beautiful in my opinion. But they make things trickier as they will change your water parameters and will higher your GH and PH. Not ideal for many of the plants and it took the plants longer to adjust and me cleaning more algae in the first two months.
But in the end, I think it is worth it and will use it again

I started the tank in December. So it's only 5 months old.
At 5 month you tank should be fully balanced so you will need to feed them if there is not enough algea in the tank .
Your GH levels are good and I assume you calcium in there. So that's what more important

When did you start the tank ? Looking good.
People need to remember that in about a month time diatom algae will start. It is a phase no matter what tank you have it will happen .
You could make the lights a little stronger surprisingly at that stage . Then you may get green dust algae instead that is also a stage but most algea eaters loves it . And it will pass as the plants gets bigger and stronger .
Your parameters are great.
At 6.4 nerite snails and Amano shrimp should be perfectly happy by the way. I have 6.4 in my tank with the fastest Amanos ever living the life and my horned nerite snails are active and happy they are a staple in planted tanks that are often with that ph

To not confused you there is the aquarium co-op way of the fish tank and this is amazing if your focus is most tropical freshwater fish and the "natural biotope style" of the fish tank.
If you look at Cory's tanks he is using plants as another layer of filtering. Like Crypts, Anubias, guppy grass, swords, and so on. These can grow in hard or soft water or whatever water you have. The substrate is not as important
When you get to the more delicate plants you need to start moving from the "natural" aquarium way.
And look at how for example green aqua on youtube grow these plants. It's not as natural these are high-energy tanks where we try to help the plants to be the best they could be. It's a different style and I did both and both are fun just depended on the style of tank you are going for. But they have different needs and rules

I made a 20 gallon a few months ago to learn about as many plants as I could put in it.
It's exploding and needs a trim almost weekly but I love it.

Your problem is not nitrates. Red plants like scarlet temple need to have very very low nitrates in the water.
What is your water hardness? Most plants would like water on the soft side. Scarlet Temple is a slowish grower and suffers from very hard water. So if your tap water is already hard I would say forget about the crushed corals I would forget about it regardless unless your fish required hard water then look for more hardy plants.

My current favorite is Limnophila Hippuridoides.
it's an easy center piece impressive plant with a good light and CO2 will be red and purple

Today I went full high tech on this tank.
Replaced the HOB with a large canister and lily pipes + skimmer .
The HOB blocked some areas of the tank from the CO2 and I started getting BBA on the drift wood .
I thought that I had clear water before but boy oh boy it's like glass now.
Plus white ludwigia progress I am a little sad since it's such a slow grower some of the white leaves got covered with green dust algae. The shrimp loves it. I hope that the extra clear water and the sparkly new filter will help

Added today, Rummy nose rasboras like singing birds to my English garden under water.
Sadly I could only find males , while colorful they will not breed ( maybe it's a good thing )

I would say that I recommend this plant it's very strong, it converted while the tank was covered in algae with no melting. It does like high light and CO2 though .
But I will not say anything final yet until it is fully grown

Update, did not share any pictures in the last month because I had to fight the most horrible case of diatom algae.
I understand that it is because I am using seiryu stone that made my GH on the higher side 10 degrees . The plants struggled .
Today finally I can say I pretty much algae free
Easy green helped a lot!!
plus got a better light and a upgraded CO2 system for consistent light green check. (The pictures are from early morning)
Ludwigia white converted successfully can't wait to see it fully grown .
Pink flamingo still converting .
Ludwigia repens growing like a weed.
The algae sadly killed most of my scarlet temple , and made the s. repens struggle. But it's ok now.
Nana petit got green spot algae but it's expected and the Amanos loves it
Finally decided to go with golden white clouds for this one. I turned off the heater to help the plants and I want a simple and enjoyable fish. I think that it will look great
Will share again as everything is fully grown and converted
This tank ended up being a "learn how to grow plants tank"

He still looks the same just a little longer. In the light I see shimmer of blue and red. And he is definitely hanging out at the very very top all the time. Close to the water level . Touching it.

The baby fish survived a 50% water change and a massive plants trimming.
He is smarter then I though and is swimming like he is the boss of the tank . Any idea what fish it could be then? I will hate if he will be a lonely fish

Free swimming, and I did add some new plants. This is crazy. Ok if it's not a baby otocinclus, I will go ahead and change the water, and if it will survive we will know.

It's kind of hard to see, but to me it looks like a baby fish. The only fish I have in this tank are otocinclus.
Could it be?
Also I need to do a water change tomorrow... Oh no.

They make quick work of diatoms and once gone sometimes this is when you'll see a death. They'll still eat the diatoms, no worries- but it's good to make sure they get their bellies full all the time. Algae wafers, Repashy and fresh foods like zucchini or cucumber, etc will help them stay healthy/happy! They are one of my most favorite fish for sure.
I got algae wafers from acop, and I feed them this on Mondays , Tuesday nothing but algae, Wednesday veggies, rest nothing but algae . Once there is less algae I will feed more for sure.
I was ready as everyone online scare you about them dying right away. But I was surprised to find really fun happy fish active all the time and eating non stop .
And yes this is my first "high tech" aquarium with some harder plants. Learning a lot

What I believe is that I got a bad one. I never had a problem with API before . But these tanks are running for 3 years now problem and that's the only thing . Maybe some chemical is out of balance in the one I got
