  1. I have an overgrowth of green algae all over my tank, so im covering the whole tank for 5-7 days so no lights enters. Is it okay to do this while fish are in? And id appreciate more tips to how to get rid of green algae. Its all over my glass, plants, and ground.
  2. Yeah I do it really good once a week
  3. Oh so I can keep males together, but when a female is included, its an issue? Id love to have 4 males in one tank
  4. I keep getting these brown soft dusty things all over my aquarium. If I put my hands in or move the water, it scatters all over, then it lands on my plants and decor. No matter how much I clean the water, it comes back in 24 hour! Is it algae or something else, and what should I do about it? My water parameters are good I just checked..
  5. I have a 25 gallon tank, with two pair of german rams. I bought one male long finned blue ram to add, but I saw the german ram following him alot. Is this normal or should I move him to another tank I have?
  6. Good news, I just got it and its 1.5 inches, so its a baby. I was worried I would get a big one and he wont be able to adjust till I get a new tank. But his color is a faded black and red, is this normal because hes a baby? or is it because hes stressed? And one last question, how fast do they grow? I was hoping to have a bit bigger fish
  7. I will buy a new tank in 3 weeks when I get money for sure
  8. So I was reading online and they said 25 gallon is okay, so I already ordered him online 2 weeks ago. Im sad I did not make sure first, but I will get another tank soon
  9. Thank you so much for all the info, this really helps! Im getting him today so ill update on how things work out 🙂
  10. My water is good, the only issue I have is my water is hard, and im not sure how to lower it. I think its from my tap water. And yeah everything I red about Rams is they are not peaceful, but not aggressive
  11. I have a 25 gallon aquarium heavily planted with lots of hiding spots, and I have 10 guppies, and 2 german rams. Is it possible to add a red tail shark with them too? Below is a video of my aquarium I just took, but all the fish are sleeping: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LKVN79JJPg
  12. I have a 25 gallon aquarium with two German Rams, and 10 male guppies. Today I found one of the guppies dead and his fins are almost gone! I know German Rams are peaceful, and even if it attacks a guppy, it wont kill it or eat it! I also know male guppies wont attack each other to the death. Could it be possible that he died because hes a new fish, and then the shrimp started eating his fins after its dead?
  13. Thats all normal behavior for Nerite snails, they are active, but not compared to Mystery Snails. So everything you described about your Nerite Snails is normal. And yes snails and shrimp will always be active at night when there is no lights, and hiding during the day.
  14. No hes not My Betta is very peaceful he lives with colorful guppies!
  15. I watched the videos below, and from what I understood from it, I should use all three medication! But English is not my first language, and I have Dyslexia I always get things wrong. So maybe it is the medication 😞 Should I kill it so it doesnt suffer, or do you think I should wait and see what happens?
  16. Ive been having issues with my Betta after I left my country for 3 months, while my friend looked after him. His fins are much shorter, and he doesnt swim like before, but I dont know whats wrong with him. I tried soft medications like salt, almond leaves, stress guard, but nothing helped! So I used The Med Trio from Aquarium Coop, but the next day he was not moving, and the water current was making him move like he was dead! I freaked out, but when I touched him, he moved a bit and still breathing. All the other fishes are acting normal and happy (2 Gardeners Killifish, 1 Bluefin Notho, 2 Amano Shrimp, 3 Snails), so its not the medication? Is it possible the Killifish attacked him (I moved him to this tank yesterday to medicate him)? Or maybe he was stuck in the filter and it destroyed his fins (I recently removed the sponge covering the filter)? Im not sure what happened or how to help him now. Medication: https://www.aquariumcoop.com/products/the-med-trio
  17. They are moving, but they are acting more like a nerite snail, very slow and hiding. My water parameters are good, including ph, but I do have hard water, which I dont know how to change for my Betta. But you said its good for my snails so that shouldnt be an issue!
  18. I had them for two weeks but ill wait and try to feed them more as my shrimp always takes their food
  19. The first time I bought Mystery Snails they were extremely active, constantly running all over the tank all day, floating, throwing themselves from the surface, finding food.. The new ones I got a a bit smaller than the huge ones I used to have, and not active at all, and I only see them at night! Em I doing something wrong or are they just young?
  20. I red that you can trigger their color by making the aquarium heater high? How high can I go? I dont want to hurt them
  21. I just bought new Rainbow Shiners for the first time, but their color is not what I saw in videos and pictures! How do they get that bright red and blue colors? Its also hard to feed them, they arent eating the mix of feed im giving them. Its hard to find info on them thats why im asking
