I don't know a heck of a lot about fish breeding, I have a few month old breeding colony of cherry shrimp and I bred kribs a couple years ago with decent success. I wasn't aware of this technique of using a shrimp as a "nurse" for eggs. How cool is that? I'm wanting to start breeding some rainbowfish soon. Think putting a cherry shrimp in with the eggs is a good idea?
I've had no problem hatching rainbowfish eggs. Raising the fry is the work. They are SMALL and grow SLOW.

I haven't tried the fry food yet and I've never tried rams. I have had good luck with golden pearls and rainbowfish. Golden pearls is basically a powder.

I use kosher salt and a pinch of baking soda like others. I'm pretty happy with my hatch rate.

Well @Brandyhas inspired me. Had an empty tank that's been cycling. Now there are 4 juvenile EBAs residing in there. Hopefully there is a good male/female split in there.

I would bet it’s not long before you have a hundred more.

I wouldn’t beat yourself up too much. 100+ fish is a lot to try to manage. I can’t imagine.

I would definitely throw some more corys in there

Hey Cory for a few weeks of just plants and Algae what temp would you suggest, I was keeping it just under 80 for the fish
Cory may have a better answer than me; but, I would determine what fish I’m thinking of putting there. I would match their ideal temperature and let your plants adjust to that. It seems to me it would be harder on the plants to keep dealing with temp swings.

As long as they’re eating, you’re probably good. If they stop eating, you may have other problems. Make sure they have hiding spots, it can actually make them more comfortable and come out more.

Would you recommend the USB Aquarium Co-Op Air Pump?
I use 10 of them. Haven’t had any problems. They are all running coop sponge filters. They have enough air to run those with no problem and they are nearly silent (my favorite part).

Could a ziss egg tumbler be used to tumble angel eggs? Obviously seen it used for cichlids, corys, etc. Is it too much for angels. Curious why I never see an egg tumbler used for them?

Yep, definitely guppy fry. Expect many more cause that’s what guppies do.

Well came home from work and there’s a couple of hundred angel eggs in a tank.

Morphy1701...check valves my friend. Everybody that’s owned an aquarium has soaked a floor or two... or three.

Nerite snails will clean that for you with no problems.

Did a water change in the mbuna tank on the 25th. Three females now holding eggs. Don’t know if the full moon had anything to do with but the water change definitely did.

I agree it looks like a clown. They’re cool little plecos when you can actually see them. Mine are insanely bashful.

I have a cheapy that seems to be fairly accurate. Admittedly, I don't use it much. If the fish are happy, I don't test a lot. Figure I'm as likely to screw up vs help.

Didn't see Keeping fish simple...I enjoy him as well as all the others listed.
A rescue oscar may be coming home with me... all advice welcome!

It's been awhile since I have had an Oscar; but the couple I had were about as easy as they could be. The biggest problem is having the space for them. They were tough as nails and would eat pretty much anything I gave them. Never tried them with plants though.
