I just purchased a Fluval 3.0 22 watt for a ten gallon rectangular tank and find the distribution to the sides of the tank to be VERY disappointing. I really like the light because of the color control, dimming, and programming but the coverage leaves something to be desired.

It seems that removing non-primary addresses fails to work properly on the Account Details page of the main Aquarium Co-op site (https://www.aquariumcoop.com/account#details).
I have three addresses and am trying to remove the two non-primary addresses. Clicking Remove does not actually remove the desired address.

Ten gallon tank, moderately planted. I'd like to put a breeding pair* of scarlet badis in with an existing colony of about 30-40 cherry shrimp and some junk guppies. How about multiple male scarlet badis?
Thoughts? Experiences?
*If I can find any females.

Anyone else experience that their pump head for Easy Green stopped pumping properly? Mine quit working properly recently- it only squirts a tiny bit and the pump will not go down fully. I'd ask for a replacement but I'd hate to incur expensive shipping costs on A.C. Suggestions?

I'm thinking of getting a pea puffer in it's own 7.1 gallon tank. I'm also thinking about how to cope with the massive amount of fry my female guppy spits out in a different tank.
The pea puffer is a carnivore. Get where I am going with this? Okay, okay... Will the pea puffer take the fry off my hands and can that be it's main source of nutrition?

I have some Ammannia Gracilis that has beard algae problems. They are they only plants in my tank to have a problem with beard algae. Seriously- it affects no other plants. It's pain because I keep having to trim off chunks of the plant to fight the evil badness.
Y'all reckon that I am better off just ripping the plants out and buying new ones? I'd gladly pay a few bucks not to have to deal with it.

Oh I'm just being silly. Dihydrogen monoxide is H20. It's a bit of classic joke because it sounds so chemically (though water technically is a chemical).
I've been accused of having an excessively dry sense of humor. I once convinced a group of people that I was allergic to the mixture of peanut butter and jelly. I could eat them separately but not together. I eventually had to let them off the hook.

Hi,
I found out today that my tap water contains extremely high levels of dihydrogen monoxide. I did my research and found out it can burn, freeze, asphyxiate, and extract minerals from tissue when exposed high doses in its pure form. Now, I'm really worried about my fish being exposed to it.
Anyone have any experience with this dangerous chemical and how I can remove it from my aquarium water?

So I'm transferring a pond snail from one tank to another with tweezers and I dropped it. I head a faint "tink" and realized that it had managed to land in my can of beer.
Well, after finishing the beer, I fished the little guy out from the bottom of the can and put him into the aquarium. A couple of minutes later, he went on his merry way.
Resilience.

Just tonight my internet connection was down and one of my Kasas was off. I tried to manually turn it on with the button on the side of the device and it refused to turn on.
I don't get why these devices require an internet connection to work considering that old school timers from the 1990s or earlier work reliably and even have battery backup not to loose settings if the power goes out.
I wish in the product description on the Aquarium Coop site that they'd mention that not only wifi but an actual internet connection is required for them to work properly.

Just gotta say as a former North Carolinian who moved to Vermont, ice means 18" of hard-packed snow that sits in my yard until the middle of May. Ice means it's pitch black outside at 4:00 PM. And ice means driving down an interstate that I cannot see the edges of with trucks passing me at 60 MPH in the dark.
Yes, that has nothing to do with shrimp, but I used to be a Southerner and you asked about ice.

I've had moss sitting in a container with minimal water for months only under indirect and pretty weak grow lights for house plants. Think under leaves. It's survived quite well.
I personally feel the important part of it all is to have fun doing it even if you don't make much money.

A while back I transferred some java moss from one tank to another. The source tank has a small BBA issue, so I put the moss in a bowl without water and sprayed it with 3% H2O2 and let it sit for about 30 minutes before rinsing it with declorinated water. I now observe no algae in the destination tank and the moss is as healthy as in the source tank.
Perhaps, if you do grow algae, you can try to see if what I did helps eliminate the algae. Pull it out, treat it, then put it back into a cleaned vessel.
I hope your experiment is a success. I know I trim away several dollars worth of moss on a weekly basis.

I have a Denerle Nano corner filter. Denerle mades an intake cover specifically designed to prevent shrimp from getting sucked up into the filter.
It is a top quality, elegant product but I feel it has one huge flaw- Denerle designed it so you you are theoretically supposed to replace the filter media while the filter is still underwater which means it can be quite messy. Because the suction cups hold insanely well, if you have a rimless tank, you can simply slide the unit out of the aquarium and maintain it outside. If you have a rim (like my tank), prying the 6 suctions loose can be a chore.

Wow. As I say in my software industry job "Good thing they don't make airplanes."
To be fair to the Kasa, I do like Cory's suggestion about having the "On" setting without an "off" because I do shut off my filter during feeding and I do forget to turn it back on. So the "on" only setting has saved my rear end.

Electricity flickered (thanks southern Vermont) and all my new Kasa WiFi Light Timers turned on despite being set to off based on scheduling. I'm not sure what to think because we have not infrequent regular electric flickers (like at least one a week). It makes me think I should have stayed with 1970s tech timers.

While you can tie small clumps down to, for example, a rock, Java moss tends to have a life of its own as it grows out. I think you kind of have to let it live on its own terms.
