  1. Hi, I was looking at Tiger badis or scarlet badis as my next fish. I was wondering if they have any notable differences, such as activity levels, size, or feeding habits. Looking into the one which is smaller and preferably less active because the tank I have in mind is quite small and houses shrimp. I had brief experience with scarlet badis so I am keen on learning about the tiger ones Thank you.
  2. Where in the water column do they swim? Top? Bottom? Middle?
  3. I've read about this tetra a lot, however I have found a lot of conflicting information that I wanted to clarify from people who actually kept these tetras, or has experience with them. First question is how big do they get? I have been seeing 1-1.5 inches and I was wondering if that was completely accurate Second question is if they have aggressive/fin nippy tendencies. I am planning to keep these guys with Pearl gouramis so the answer to this question must be no Thirdly, how can I differentiate them from other species of hyphessobrycon so. My final question is how colourful do they get? I normally see them a pale, translucent red, however I have seen pictures of them very full red and was wondering if these were males showing off, good lighting and angles or just their natural color when they fully adjust to the tank. Hopefully being their natural or breeding displays. Thank you
  4. So can they tolerate harder water? My kh is around 8
  5. Definitely going to supply a good pellet. New life spectrum. I will also be feeding black worms once and awhile.
  6. Whats your ph? And do you think they can tolerate harder water?
  7. Thanks guys, i totally understand. Im going to be mainly feeding frozen bloodworms so it will be ok. Do they add a lot of bioload?
  8. I have a ph around 7.5-7.6 and I wanted to keep a little school of these guys. I hear these fish are delicate and can only tolerate 6.0-6.5, while others say they are hardy and can tolerate 5.5-7.5. Could someone who has had glass catfish chime in here?
