Breeding fish like honey gouramis are fun because they are bubble nesters. Also different livebearers like Platys and Endlers should be pretty fun as well.

he now prioritizes the bloodworms and if hungry, he'll eat the hair algae.

Now my one is weird. I woke up on a normal Saturday and fed my tank like usual. I made breakfast and sat at the table. I then looked over to my tank which I just fed and he was snacking on the algae instead of the bloodworms! I never knew that I was keeping a vegetarian Puffer. XD

Pseudotropheus saulosi are pretty cool. The females are bright yellow while the males are a dark blue. So, you can have a species only tank that looks like two different species. Best of both worlds, the ease of a species only tank with the contrast of a community tank.
alternativrly you can try one of the cookie-cutter cichlid set-ups, like the one cory talks about in This video, and just increase the numbers 50%.
worth mentioning that Synodontis catfish also come from the rift lakes, so you can add them too. You can occationally get away with adding a few select non-rift species to an african cichlid tank, but i wouldn't necessarily recommend it for your first go.
if you mind water changes, this might not be the tank for you, but its hard to beat african cichlids, at least in the freshwater hobby, in terms of beauty.
How often would I have to water change and what percentage?

Could be stress if you've recently added an aggressive tankmate or the temperature/water parameters are not good.

I ordered a bunch of plants last week for a new 75 planted tank - plants shipped on Tuesday and I planted them on Thursday morning right after they arrived. This was a new setup using seasoned sponge filters, no fish yet.
Today (1 week from shipping) I spot teeeennnny tiny fry! I've only hatched endler fry in my tanks, which are much larger that what I am seeing here. I was not prepared for fry too small for brine shrimp or coop fry food, but did add a bit of repashy powder for them. No idea what they are, but reflective eyes are what caught my attention. Anyone had baby fish this way? They plant seller tells me they are grown outside, emersed, so they weren't in planted tanks. Some of the plants are from the Coop and planted the same day, not sure if they keep any fish in the plant tanks that might lay eggs/breed in them.
Chances for success? Tetras arrive for this tank tomorrow - but any advice, experiences welcome 🙂
I have had two experiences with fish eggs and fish fry hitchhiking on some Anubias Nana Petite and Java Fern and they have grown up in my 10 gallon. Turns out that they were Rummynose Tetras and Dumbo Endlers. It took me around 4 months for the colors to become clear enough for me to identify what they were!

Have you considered african cichlids? Not the easiest fish but their color and personality make up for it. Easy breeders, as well.
Any specific species that I could try?

Hello everyone, this is my first post on the forum and I relocated my Cardinal Tetras, Panda Corydoras, Cherry Shrimp and my 1 male Honey Gourami into another fish tank and now I have one vacant 80 Gallon tank available. What should I do with it? I could start a breeding project or make another community tank. Maybe some bigger fish? Any suggestions or tips are appreciated!

Definetely bottom dwellers or algae eaters should be pretty good for the Tiger Barbs
