Ok I’m stumped w my aquarium chemistry😞. Ten gallon aquarium My tap is 0 GH 40 KH ppm 6.2-6.4 PH My aquarium is 125 GH ppm 125 KH ppm 6.8-7 PH I’ve added Equilibrium to bring the tap GH up for plants. I also add Easy Green to keep nitrates between 20-30. The substrate is Imagitarium sand, some fake rocks, and live plants. I’m just trying to figure out what from this equation is raising the KH and PH🤔🤔🤔 Any ideas⁉️⁉️⁉️ THX🙏

I had an 8’ acrylic built last year and ended up buying two-4’ Fluval 3.0’s because there was no ETA for the COOP light. Fast forward eight months, life got busy, I haven’t even opened the Fluval boxes, and NOW the COOP light is out😭😭😭 AND I’m way past the return window for them👎🏻

Might be a stupid question, but I’m thinking about getting some shrimp for the first time. Do they get the same Qt process as everyone else? Also, what’s a minimum hardness level for them? My water is soft as a baby’s bottom!!!

I can get it close to quite by tuning the gate valve. The quietest I can achieve is a tiny trickle in the secondary. But even a tiny trickle going down the pvc isn’t close to silent. the manufacturer says 15-20% of the flow should be going down the secondary. That is even louder though ie constant toilet flush. ugh😩😩😩

I’ve spent hours trying to get this thing right and silent like everyone else can lol. I’ve tried doing the pipes inside the overflow box shorter, longer, you name it. With and without the u-pipe and I still can’t get it to where I want it. I’m running around 2000 gph through the system fyi. I can tune through adjusting the gate valve to have the primary drain under water and silent, BUT I cannot figure out how to get the secondary open air drain silent once water starts going down that pipe 😭😭😭😭😭 ANY help or advice is appreciated. ive attached pics of the system. THANK YOU ALL‼️‼️‼️

But the pipe is still full of water even when the tank is drained below the bulkheads. 😂

The y valve is check valve to prevent a back siphon if the pumps die

Thanks. I added a picture with some more detail. I have a leak at the union where the arrow is. The problem is it’s filled with water there because the check valve is doing its job🤦🏼‍♂️ I feel like it’s not the brightest question, but it’s my first time and I just can figure this out lol. Hoping it’s not having to get a big bucket because eventually I’d like to move the aquarium close to the wall.

So I’m trying to do plumbing for my new tank and I installed a Y Check valve on the return. I need to unhook it now but I can’t figure out how to get the water out of the line for the life of me so water doesn’t go all over the place🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️ any tips?
