Thanks for the replies. Quarantining new fish is a “no brainer” but the decision to use prophylactic meds (and required protocols) seems to be a topic of great debate in our hobby.

Have read through the article on how to quarantine new fish. When using the “trio” of recommended meds, it says to NOT feed the fish for the 7 days they soak in the meds. What is the reason for this recommendation?
