  1. I have 6 of them in a 36 gallon bow front. I might just stick the news ones in there instead, but the esthetic is better for other fish I have so I was debating with myself lol. The length is about the same though, so I'm not sure it matters what tank I put the barbs in. They're so much fun to watch!
  2. Hi all. Recently acquired a new 29 Gallon tank that includes 7 tiger barbs and a bristlenose pleco My question is, would adding my other 6 tiger barbs I already have to it be too many for the tank? It would mean 13 tiger barbs, and a bristlenose pleco. Thanks!

  4. More on the saga of my tiger barbs😂. That one fish is fine now(no idea what changed🤷‍♀️). But I did notice this discoloration on two of the green tiger barbs that the other one doesn't have. Think it's anything to worry about? Internet searches say columnaris... Both fish are eating fine. One might be having swim bladder issues, but hard to really tell. All the fish in my team are still flashing on occasion so I'm continuing the ich x for now.
  5. He's now starting to swim weird and not eating. Should I treat the tank with an antibiotic since he won't eat? Or should I get him out and set up a hospital tank? Medicated food doesn't seem useful if he won't eat.
  6. Got a decent picture of the spot. It's been there a few days, but I haven't seen any more. It looks a little raised to me, but I dunno. Right by the black strip@Colu
  7. There might be one spot on one of them now, it's hard to see. I've also noticed some white poop now .I think from the same fish. I'm continuing the ich x.. Should I treat with the kanaplex as you suggested @Colu? Or should I do a parasite treatment? I don't want to stress them to much or freak out and over medicate.
  8. 80 at the moment. Was at 78, bumped it a little
  9. That makes sense. That fish did die though and the others don't show any spots that I can see ( though it is hard because they dart around so much lol). Just don't want to stress them more with more meds if I don't have to.
  10. Mostly on the body, but Maybe a few on the fins. The other 7 barbs are still looking good. I'm going to continue to treat for ich just in case I think. Not sure if I should start the food or not though.
  11. Do I need to treat the other fish? Or should I wait and see if they get it?
  12. Hi all, newbie here. Just lost a green tiger barb to what I think is ich, but I'm not sure. None of the other 7 barbs appear to have any spots as of now. I started treating with ich x yesterday. Just got these fish yesterday. The one that died was swimming a little weird, and then has just progressively gotten worse. Water parameters are good ( even had them double checked at a local fish store. 0 ammonia , 0 nitrites, about 10ppm nitrates when I tested. Does it look like ich? Should I just continue treating and watch for symptoms in the other fish? Thanks!
