Appears to be a midge larvae of some sort.
Oooohhhh! Yes! It looks like that from google images. Is it dangerous? Parasite? Should I nuke the tank or just drain it? Google seems to say they are harmless! Thank you for your time!

Thank you! I’m new so, still trying to figure out how to post properly. The worm was found on the bare bottom of an isolation tank. I attached a photo I think is full size.

Friend or foe? Is this a parasitic worm or edible treat for fish? I just need to know if I should start to deworm the fish that were in this tank.
Thank you!

Thanks for this post. Makes me feel less blind. I literally CANNOT tell the difference on my API master test kit between 40ppm Nitrate and 80ppm Nitrate. Does anyone have a digital test for this? Hanna instruments is for marine only:( Trying to keep my nitrate at like 20-50 but, cannot tell if it went OVER into the dangerous range after feeding tons of brine shrimp (oops, didn't know they were a fish laxative)!!

If it's just 1 or 2 eggs at a time, I'll use my fingers.
If it's a bunch, I have a bad habit of dropping some. So I have a little shrimp net that I'll drag along the glass to collect them.
Thanks for the tip! I have a small shrimp net!

Question for anyone who can answer! How do you harvest the eggs to put in your tumbler? With your fingers? Scrape off glass/rocks/mop with a credit card? I'm hoping to have cory eggs soon and am scared to touch them! I only have experience with cichlid breeding and never harvested the eggs. My corys have spawned once and I didn't notice until the fry were about 2 weeks old and I hope they go for it again soon. Was thinking to buy this tumbler in advance. Also, besides feeding, any triggers for cory spawning like temp, water change, etc?

Are you using a TDS meter? I found that GH test kits weren't accurate enough and I just ended up making hard water again. Having a TDS really helps me when remineralizing RO water. I have SUPER hard water here so, I don't even bother with my tap anymore.

Looks normal to me! Mine do this in certain currents and during certain times of the day. Probably a current change in your new tank and they are playing in it. Catfish like current.
