You end up removing a fair amount of algae all at once that way, which means less left to re colonize, and removes mass that slows flow and shades new growth. byand large leaves infested to that degree seldom recover. Healthy plants defend themselves well against algae. Plants sometimes abandon leaves and once abandoned the leaves leak from the margins and the leakage seems to feed algae… 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
