Rosy barbs and plants

Hello - Are rosy barbs generally safe with plants? Are there any plants that work better and any that should be avoided? Thank you!

They should be fine. I've found anubias (especially barteri, but all species work well) to be really hardy with anything you put it against, and if you give it a couple months to take root in a couple inches of gravel (doesn't have to be nutrient-rich), Jungle val will grow back quicker than you can do a water change if it receives any damage from them, and if you're willing to do a lot of cutting and replanting of the clippings, pearlweed will make an easy, beautiful carpet, as long as you have nutrient-rich substrate. I haven't kept Rosies in years...and not since I've been doing planted tanks.  Some aquarists report that they will nibble on some plants at the very least. Others say they're fine with plants.  You may just have to try it out.  Other than the species mentioned by @Boulder_Betta, you might also try Java Fern.

I have three rosy barbs in my planted tank and they don't seem to have caused any damage.

I have mainly Java ferns, anubias and swords with the odd random plant from the bargain bin. I also have plenty of algae for them.
