Penny Jeter
Ikea ODLA (LECA planting media) is so inexpensive and looks an awful lot like like many smaller bio media for canister filters. Got me thinking about using it for biomedia-- has anyone tried it? Other LECA have been used, and some report nitrifying result. I am thinking specifically about their ODLA product.
Flumpweesel
Maybe, you'd have to test it my initial concern would be it breaking up in the flow and getting compacted. I've seen similar used to grow plants hydroponically out of the tank though.
