IMO, hornwort can be a very fast grower and steal all the food and then some times it just doesnt do well, its very finicky. have to keep up on feeding it, ive had it floating in my breeding tank and it out competes all the other plants for food, except for duck weed lol

That's my thinking. But I have read a couple other articles that say other wise. Plus some of the products claim they have it and use it, but in wat form or concentration. Just looking for someone who has tried or currently does this method.

hi and hello, im slacker, i got back into the hobby a couple years ago now, i just ended up falling down a YouTube hole that led me to Aquarium Coop's website and YT vids, ive seen like 99% of all the videos on the channel. then i went out and bought a 20 gal. now im up to 4 tanks in my apartment. wife hates it, but it makes me happy and that lets me keep them. lol 2-20gal, 1-10gal, and 1-5 gal. i like the breeding aspect, its fun and educational.  im currently breeding pineapple platys in one 20 gal, cherry shrimp in the 10 gal, and MTS snails in the 5 gal, in my other 20 gal i currently have corydoras paleatus and some 24k gold white clouds. the corydoras have bred on their own, and i do have a couple generations of them in the 20 gal. but most the time they eat the eggs cuz i don't separate or pick the eggs. anyways, thank you for having me here. i have an Aloe Vera house plant, and some times parts get broken off on accident or for some other reason, i was wondering if the sap inside the plant is beneficial for the fish's slime coat. i know several conditioners and products use aloe vera, or at least claim to use to help repair and heal damaged scales or slime coat. i just wanted to know if i can use the plant in the form i have it (just by extracting the sap from the plant, like squeezing/milking the plant}. or do i have to treat or process the sap in some way, so its not toxic or harmful to my fish. thanks.
