This might not be a very useful suggestion, but surely anything you can catch locally would be okay in your climate? Find out what is native to your region (and legal to catch) and see if there's anything cool looking
I already checked that, all the fish are either too aggressive or kinda dull brown color

I’m looking for some more pond fish and I’m trying to find some that can survive winter temperatures and ice on the surface, I already know about goldfish, rosy red minnows, rainbow shiners, red bellied dace, Medaka, etc.... are there any rare cold water fish that anyone knows about? I’d be fine with shrimp or snails, or dwarf crayfish too.

Way to go, Platy!
Are there other fish in the pond?
Yeah I have some goldfish and rosy red minnows

A week or so ago I put my platy in my pond since it was getting bullied but unfortunately there was a cold snap and the temperature went from around 80 degrees to around low 40’s for two whole days. I couldn’t find the platy during that time and thought that it passed away. But today I saw it alive and swimming. Platys are such incredibly hardy fish😭

Looks like a bladder snail, if you found one you probably have a lot more that you don’t see. As long as you don’t overfeed they should be fine

I’m getting some Medaka fish soon that I’m gonna put in my pond and I was wondering if you guys had any advice for raising and keeping care of Medaka.

The same thing happened to me, I wanted to keep a platy in my pond for a bit and it had been really warm recently like in 80’s but recently a cold snap came and it’s been even in the 40s.....😔
