I have some sad looking Sprite in a tank with Eco Complete. Maybe it needs a few tabs. I’ll give it a try.
Go for it. I have like a whole new stem of fresh green leaves within a week of the tabs

The frogbit I have exploded and doubled at first but lately it has seem to die off and stopped growing, a lot of the leaves are deteriating. Other than easy green what could I do?
-
I used whatever I had left so I gotta make an order. The sprite is really growing since
-
The water sprites I have haven't really flourished since trimming them and moving them a while ago so I added the rest of my root tabs to the whole tank and they finally started growing again. I know root tabs are more for heavy rooters but it's definitely helping

I got a 5 pc. kit two years ago. The 10" tweezers and curved scissors are a definite improvement over my Bonsai tools. I used the substrate flattener for the first time this week. it works in tight spaces, but isn't much help otherwise. The other tools have never been out of the case.
I tried it but didn't care for it. Plus the metal scraper doesn't sound good with sand and glass. I will most likely only use 2 of the 6 lol

I was sold on first cut with the curved scissor. Don't think I'll need the full set but it was $20 on Amazon so I went with it since each one can be $10 alone

Nice set.
So far I have a 10 inch curved pair of scissors and a 10 inch pair of tweezers.
Thanks. That's all that's needed really

You're even more prepared than me!

I have a Fluval 306 so I'm on the lava rocks train along with biomax (ceramic balls) and 3 different forms of foam pads. Bought the lava rocks at Home Depot 5lb bag
I always used carbon myself until I recently found out the truth about it so I won't be using it anymore.

I have the flow set halfway with the output pointed up & to the front. It's not as physically high as I'd like it to be though but I can't set it any higher due to the rubber adaptor bending (upper right)
I have thought about putting on the ride side so it faces the inlet.

you know you're all in when you buy the full kit of tools.
Yup! Going to make it much easier to handle the fast growing plants I have

Thanks! $22 off Amazon, well worth it

Not going to lie this is the first time I've heard the word mulm. I definitely had to google it lol
Thanks for the replies!

I do have 2 Cory's, had 3 but 1 passed. With the last tank I do remember I would just stir up the crap and then catch it with the cleaner as it floats up but with this setup there's not even anything to pick up. I must be doing something right lol

I've been debating on getting one as I've been getting by without one. I've had my fish for more than a month now and haven't seen much of a mess honestly, which is weird since I have just about 30 fish in a 27g so you'd think it would be a crap disaster but it hasn't been. I feel like because of the tank's footprint (square) plus the high filtration (11x) that's all being sucked up right away!
Just wondering if there's anyone with sand not using a gravel cleaner? I did use one in my past tanks with sand but this has been a different experience so far

With my how my apartment is setup the tank stays in the upper 70's without a heater.

I have Caribsea sand in sunset gold which makes the blue stand out more.

Caribsea Super Naturals in sunset gold.

I have a 27g with glowlight tetra's, candy cane tetra's, blue rams, cory cats and harlequin rasboras. Was suppose to have a blue dwarf gourami but it came DOA

I'm using lava rock for the first time myself, seems like any lava rock is usable. I just rinse it out with warm water a whole bunch of times. I'm using it in my filter though, not sure if you mean that or for decor?

Well 1 of the 2 blue rams did lay eggs this week. Maybe that?

I think that's the issue here. The roots were really growing & then one day it was like they were all gone
