I've read from a couple of people that their loaches tolerated treatment. Someone suggested using half a dose for the 14 days. What do you think? I'd hate to have a whip lash effect like resistant antibiotic pathogens. I have Paraguard, but never medicated my fish. I've been in the hobby only 2 months. Will it hurt or stress my neons, harlequin rasboras or female bettas? What are the signs of stress in loaches? They hide? lol. probably.

Unfortunately I an't get one as he is always moving fast when I see him. :(.

I just found a white spot or saddle like patch? that could be ick or coumnaris on the back of my black kuhli right above his/her tail today. I have a 33 gal. with harlequin rasbora's, neons and a betta. I have no idea how to treat it as I'm 2 months into the hobby. My tank is fully cycled and pH is 6.6. I have Seachem Paraguard. Some say it would be safe at 1/2 dose. I could do 50% water changes daily for 2 weeks, but that wld be labor intensive and I've got a bad back. :(. I can't use the python with my kitchen sink. Help!

I came upon it and was a little intimidated. Is it individuals selling fish they have breeded themselves only? How do I know what starting price to put in for the bid?

Does anyone have a recommendation on where I can order tropical fish from a humane breeder? Also, betta breeder?

Would crushed coral be too sharp for my kuhli loaches? 10% water changes once a week is what I do. Since my tapwater is so acidic should I do more or less?

I put my betta in a community tank 3 days ago. I noticed a distinct white circle on top of her head yesterday. Hoping I just didn't notice before (I've had her for 3 weeks), I can't stop noticing it now. I put her in quarantine again and am trying to figure out what to do. Water parameters are: pH 6.3, Ammonia 0-5 ppm, Nitrite 0 ppm, Nitrate 10-2- ppm. I do 10% water changes weekly with Seachem Prime. I did one yesterday. She is acting and eating normally. Help?

How can I get a stable pH of 6.8 to 7? My tapwater is 6.0 in my tank is reading 6.2. I have a 33 gallon hex with 7 neons, 9 harlequin rasboras, 2 Kuhli loaches and added A female beta three days ago. My pH has been running 6.6.

Would my betta girl be happier in a 5 gallon alone, 15 gallon with 2 other betta girls or a 33 gal hex. with neons and rasboras?

Wow! How do you fit that many tanks in your house!? LOL. What are in your community tanks and what size?
-
Wow! Where do you put all your tanks?

I wonder if that’s true for Kuhli loaches too? What is this used for?

Good luck! What is “line” breeding?

Hi! I’m excited to find this. I live in Locust Grove, Georgia. I have been in this hobby for one and a half months! After buying a 32 gallon tall hexagon from a neighbor with goldfish and tetras, I fell in love and after a ton of research later I realized how little I know. i’ve given away fish two times and think I’m getting my tank where I want it. I have nine harlequin rasboras, Seven neons, to Black Kuhli loaches and I just added my first female beta after quarantine. Fingers crossed! I have lots of questions and want to learn. I’ve done a lot of research and can help Sam with beginners. Really look forward to getting to know you guys! I don’t know how to post my photos yet, it will send them when I can.
Frozen/live food as treat?

Why do "they" say to feed fish frozen/live food only as a treat every few days? It it bad for them? I know to vary the diet of omnivorous fish, but what about carnivorous fish like bettas?
