So I got the nano circulation pump off of the website. Does anyone know how long I should have it on per day in my 20 gallon? Heavily stocked with mollies, platys, corys, kuhlis, and even a pair of GBR. I also have heavily stocked plants (pogos) some Amazon swords, and water sprite, but a majority POGOs. Anyone have any reccomendations?

I've tried more advanced hydor powerheads, as well as very inexpensive internal water pumps for this purpose. I'm convinced that all you really need with a 20 gal is a cheap, ca. $10 pump. I tend to prefer to position mine on a side, 1/2 or 3/4 of the way down (nearer the substrate) pointing across the tank lengthwise. I also tend to position my HOB off to one side. Sometimes I add a mall sponge on the opposite side in the back too. This picture is not really helpful . . . but in the back left is a large HOB. On the bottom left, near the gravel, is a cheap water pump pointing across the bottom 1/3 of the tank from left to right. In the back right is a small facto-surge sponge filter that draws flow upward. So, the effect is _sort of_ a circle: down and in on the left, across the bottom, up the back right, and then back down to the intake.
Thanks. Do you have a link for the pump?

So I’m thinking about getting a water circulation pump for my 20 gallon. (Nano size). If I decide to get it, where would I position it in relation to my HOBs I have in the tank?

I sometimes get this in my newly started tanks. It goes away by itself after a while, or once the tank is cycled I add some snails and they take care of it.
Got it. What kind of snails do you use?

What material would you use?

I am trying to put a background on a 20gal. Unfortunately, my tank is already up and running. Is there a way to add a good black background with not having to take everything out of my tank?

Thanks. So I’m just going to add all 3 tonight since I don’t use any carbon. That works?

Thanks. When you say them what do you mean? Add the carbon first then wait a few days to add fertilizer?

So when I do water changes I am planning on adding my doses of easy iron, easy green, and easy carbon at the same time. Is that safe?

So I’ve gotten some easy carbon, but I was wondering how to use it to treat my black beard algae on my plants, Zoe’s bio filter, etc.

Sorry for the tech problems posting this. I am trying to get some SAE for my 20gal. Some online sites said to do only one, but the store I am going to buy from said to do 3. Any suggestions?

So I’m going to add some SAE to a 20 gallon. Online some sites said only add one to that size tank, but when I called my local store they said I should do 3. Any suggestions?

Hi- I just got 6 new Amano shrimp yesterday and added them to a 20gal. I have other fish in the tank such as cories, neon tetras, GBR, kuhli loaches, mollies. It is also heavily planted. Is there a way to get my Amano shrimp to come out more often?

I currently have 2 German Blue rams in a 20 gallon male and female. I want to add 3 albino corys. Would this hurt my chances at breeding the GBR?

Seachem Flourite

Hello,
I have the Seachem Flourite brown. I was wondering if I have to rinse it before adding it to my tank. Online some videos say don’t do it because it could wash away nutrients.
