Also a great idea. I'm not stuck on either I just want the benefit if a great plant substrate, but with the black for the looks of the Aquarium Cheers!

Hi Everyone, I am rebuilding my 72 bowfront, I wanted a black substrate for what wil be a planted tank. I ordered 3 10L bags of Ultum Nature Systems Controsoil. Sadly once in the aquarium it was no even close to Black, It's a rather ugly brown. Any ideas about placing a top layer of something b;ack over the top of it?
