Lonesniper Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 Hi I didn’t fully cycle my 125L tank it’s planted I only left it 7 days . How often should I check water pramiters it’s stocked with 24 juveniles
Colu Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 (edited) I would test daily for ammonia and nitirte and every couple of days for nirates and add prime to detoxify any nitrites and ammonia Edited April 9, 2021 by Colu 2
Sandra the fish rookie Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 @Colu I just checked my 40G tank and found some interesting results. I would love to hear your thought (and others too) on this finding: 40 gallon NO FISH!, Heavily planted, with new growth. Did 1 water change when it was initally cloudy due to adding more plants that arrived later than the first batch. PH 7.4, Ammonia 0ppm, Nitrites 20ppm nitrates 20ppm Temp 78. I have a HOB seachem tidal with a sponge intake filter and an air stone. It looks to be cycling? Am I right? I don't want to do anything to disturb it.
Lonesniper Posted April 9, 2021 Author Posted April 9, 2021 Tested mine today it’s been running 14days will test again in 24hrs
Colu Posted April 9, 2021 Posted April 9, 2021 (edited) It's looks like it's starting to cycle just keep testing till your nitirte and ammonia read zero and your nirates are about 20 then you should be safe to add fish @Sandra the fish rookie Edited April 10, 2021 by Colu 1
Lonesniper Posted April 10, 2021 Author Posted April 10, 2021 It’s already stocked with fish 2 hours ago, Colu said: It's looks like it's starting to cycle just keep testing till your nitirte read zero then you should be safe to add fish
