I just have a quick question on the new tank I am setting up.  It is a 29 gallon planted and there will probably be a school of maybe tetra and some bottom feeders. Right now there is a medium sized sponge filter.  If I move an established small filter from another tank, does that seem like it would be enough filtration to support its planned inhabitants?  (not cycled yet so only inhabitants are some hitchhiker ramshorns.)

It depends. How big is your other filter you are going to move? How many plants do you have and how many fish do you plan on keeping. Any pictures?
