Leo2o915
Is there a way to fit another size tank on the bottom has anyone done that ?
lefty o
looks to me like a support could be made across the bottom to hold another tank. it would more than likely have to be something like a 20gal, but i think you can do it.
Celly Rasbora
There are usually Q&As on some of those big box store websites. I know because I recently bought a stand online. I agree with lefty o, though.

So what kind of support would be worth it

Celly Rasbora
The answers from the site say it's for only one tank.

lefty o
actually i would take a piece of 1/2" or 3/4" plywood cut out to sit on top of the bars on the bottom, and underneath the plywood a few 2x4 braces. paint it black and with a tank on it, wouldnt look half bad.
Dawn T
I have this stand for my 29g tanks. Solid plywood would work. With one caveat! The lower braces are only on a pair of screws at each end, and they don't touch the floor. You'll need to shore up underneath those somehow to prevent all the weight from being on just t he 8 screws. I don't think they'll hold up to much weight. (See attached photo) Depending on how much the feet are extended, the gap underneath the pair of cross braces is about 1.5".

aquachris
I actually used the 29g version, added a 3/4" plywood to set a 20g tall on. I did poly the plywood. It did great, and had absolutely no issues. Only thing to be aware of, you will need to use a python or something for tank cleaning at that low.
JettsPapa
Instead of resting the new tank on the bars of the stand, and then supporting the bars, I'd recommend just building a wood frame with plywood on top that would rest directly on the floor, then set the tank on it. Paint it black and it will blend in with the stand.
DannyBWell
This was the 29g but as you can see in someone's amazon review yes it is possible.
