Just got them today. Should I be worried about his dark abdomen. He's the only one that hasn't colored up and he's larger than the rest of them. He wasn't bagged a long time I presume because the store is not far from my home. Thanks in advance.😀

I got them late so I fed them some dry food after aclimating, Didn't see him eat, the rest did though. Tommorow Im planning to give them some baby brine.

If it’s clearly same species, but larger, could be a female. Do these get egg-bound?

I think it's a female. They're egg scatters I've read. I don't know if the LFS could have the right conditions for breeding.

Update little guy has been gasping for air. Pretty sure it's ammonia burn. I've  monitoring my levels every few hours 0ppm. The filter has been seeded in an other tank 5+ months so I'm guessing he got sick from the store and not the bag because the rest are fine. They are alone in the tank (the 10 ember tetras) so I'll just keep testing the water.
