bobross
Hi I have a 75 gallon with an aquaclear 110 and an aquarium coop large sponge filter as a secondary filter, using my tetra whisper pump. I hate the whisper, it's so loud. So I'm wondering if I can run a nano pump with the size L sponge filter or will it not be strong enough? Also ... I'd like to use a nano with the nano size sponge filter for my betta fish in a 1 gallon cube. Which makes me confused, as it's hard to believe the same pump would work for a betta that would power a L sponge filter. Advice needed, thanks! Administrators Cory Posted March 31, 2021 Administrators Share Posted March 31, 2021 In many of the videos on the 800 gallon you can see it working just fine there. I used 3 of them. Basically it comes down to bubble size, if you use small bubbles, the little pump can do quite a lot of different setups.
bobross
that's awesome, I ordered a bunch today and will be tryin' em out. I love your sponge filters and clog free air stones. Will be nice to have a quieter setup eventually!
GardenStateGoldfish
I use two USB nano pumps on my 300 gallon that power two large sponge filters(not aquarium coop brand sponge filters, if only they existed when I purchased the sponge filters!) I believe the sponge filters were rated for 125 gallons, it powers them just fine.
