KBOzzie59
Yes it can be some time before new pads are produced, weird that it did not sprout leaves. Did you bury the bulb?

Ryan W
Mine did the same thing. All it did was shoot pads. Never any leaves. It did however produce 3 separate plants from the one bulb and that bulb is still under water. It’s in a bucket with a finnex stingray over it with about a dozen black neon tetras and 6 panda cories. I just moved and haven’t set up their tank yet. I don’t have any of the plants that the bulb sprouted anymore but the bulb is doing great just sitting dormant. I have no clue if it will sprout again. gardenman
Lilies prefer to make lily pads over leaves, so you've pretty much got to keep trimming back the pads to get underwater leaves. Mine is still youngish, the recently acquired replacement one anyway, and only has underwater leaves so far. The one I've had since January sixth is still just sitting there like a brown lump and doing nothing however. The new one will likely start putting out lily pads in the not too distant future. I'll likely leave a pad or two on top and trim the rest as they develop to keep some leaves lower. I like them either way though, but the pads do block a lot of light from the other plants.
