Raeburn
Hi, my best guess is that it's fungus on uneaten food. No worries, just siphon it out. Edited March 18, 2021 by Raeburn
Brian
Looks like a biofilm. I would see this when I kept salt water from time to time. I believe it was bacteria, Protozoa and even possibly algae. I would increase current or flow, try to remove dead spots in the aquarium. Also there was a product that would kill Cyanobacteria called Chemiclean. I think some people have had success with erythromycin. try to let the tank settle in and stabilize as well. Good Luck
Ryan F
Are the whiter spots bubbles, like pearling? or clusters? Some funguses will have a dense cluster in the center and puffy hair-like strands reaching out from there. When my corys laid eggs they would develop this type of fungus. Since I got shrimp I don't have that issue anymore.
