Suku Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Hey all, I have two 30-gallons that I just freed up (I merged everything into a 75-gal). What are your thoughts on how I can use them? -I'd prefer not to use them for fish as I already have a 75-gal that keeps me pretty busy and happy. -I'd prefer not to sell. -I'd prefer a low-energy solution (I don't want to heat the tanks). -I'd prefer a low-maintenance, set-it-and-forget-it type deal. Besides those caveats, I'm also open to hearing any non-aquarium related ideas as well! Thank you!

Suku Posted March 8, 2021 Author Posted March 8, 2021 (edited) @Colu @lefty o I'm interested in this idea. Will I need to do water changes? What type of filtration? Will I need to get more plants? Edited March 8, 2021 by Suku
Colu Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Yes you will need to do water change if your keeping shrimp sponge filter or HOB with an intake sponge to stop shrimp getting in to your filter would be ok
Suku Posted March 8, 2021 Author Posted March 8, 2021 Now that I think about it, I don't really want to do more water changes than I already do 😁...
lefty o Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 shrimp are low load creatures. with some plants, and any kind of small filter you could get away with infrequent water changes.
