Amelia
I purchased a Finnex 247 programmable light . I originally started with the auto setting but after about a week I had time to observe all times of day and night and noticed it never turned completely off. I am not at all knowledgeable in this area but I am thinking it might be best to have the light completely off for 6 hours and then 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening for low/med light . My concern is that I don’t know “how much” of each color to set during the most bright part of the day? I was hoping the light would come with guidance but it didn’t. Any suggestions are appreciated! Mmiller2001
You can start with red, green and white all at the same intensity. You can drop blue all together or try 10%. Observe for 2 weeks and adjust. I make it a bit more red on ramp up and down. At peak, I'm 70% red, white and green. CT_
This may be a hot take but plants aren't that picky. Imo you should adjust the colors until you get what YOU like visually. Then adjust the photoperiod or overall intensity as needed.
Amelia
Well that makes me feel better! It’s my first attempt at live plants and I want to do it right! Nice to know I can play around with it a little!
