John L
I have a stocking idea and not sure what size tank would be right. Stocking 6-8 Panda Corey, 10-15 white skirt tetras, 10-15 Black skirt Tetras, 20 or so fancy guppies, 10-15 neon tetra, 10-15 Glow light Tetra, a hand full of snails and maybe some shrimp if the Coreys will leave them alone. I have a 20 gal now with these fish and shrimp minus the Coreys, in much smaller numbers and find the tank very enjoyable I have java fern, water sprite and anbus as the plants in the tank. Kirsten
I'd say a 55-75g would probably fit 6 cories, 10 of each of those 4 different tetras, and maybe like 6 guppies. Remember that guppies will breed like whoa and none of these fish are particularly large or aggressive to eat a bunch of babies. 6 (at least 4 females / 2 males) would get up to 20 and beyond very quickly. If you wanted another 20-40g, you could do 6-8 cories and 2-3 schools of small tetras or 1-2 schools of tetras and a few guppies.
lefty o
agree with above, you are looking for 55gallon or larger, and 20 guppies will become hundreds in a blink of an eye.
