Invasive Zebra mussels in Marimo moss balls

I’m so glad you posted that video. I’ve been fretting about this since release of the information. I also had moss balls purchased from Petco in early February. I checked mine, did not find anything, and disposed of them properly. What had me worried is all the information going out saying we should disinfect our tanks. It seems wild, but I just want to make sure I’m doing what’s best for the local environment. I’ve been disposing of my water outside around my flower beds since learning about these mussels, and will continue to do so from now on. Your video has relieved much of my anxiety. Thank you so much. This is an amazing space and great group of people!

One of the worst parts about this is they just look ugly, not even like regular mussels. Hope we can contain and put down the outbreak!
